Overview

AP Preferred Solutions is looking for a Cerner Classroom Content Developers/Trainers and E-Learning Developers for our healthcare client in the Midwest preparing for a large EHR system conversion.  These are 5 month contract positions. These are onsite positions requiring weekly travel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop eLearning courses and other materials in preparation for Cerner Implementation
  • Will also develop classroom training materials and other learning materials as needed
  • Work collaboratively with the learning team to design, cultivate, and deliver ongoing instruction for classroom and/or eLearning
  • Integrate adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies for both traditional instructor-led & web-based training material
  • Work with SMEs/end-users to understand clinical workflow and facilitate current state/future state discussions
  • Utilize existing Cerner materials and modify to meet client and clinical area needs
  • Develop and maintain manuals and documentation of procedures, training programs, support materials, and training/job aids
  • Develop and lead train the trainer courses as required
  • Participate in classroom or 1:1 training delivery as need
  • Participate in go-live support as needed

Qualifications

  • Strong Cerner product knowledge with emphasis 
  • Instructional design/adult learning experience
  • Cerner training experience
  • Experience designing with Captivate and other technology-based authoring tools with minimal support
  • Adapt quickly to changing learning requirements to meet the needs of the client
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to travel weekly for on-site support M-TH
